Here is some pretty basic info on a recent project, the building of a 6-1/2-foot tall version of the Burning Man effigy from 2000. It is part of the ‘Playa Made: The Jewelry of Burning Man‘ exhibit at the Fuller Museum of Craft, located in Brockton, Massachusetts. The show runs through June 4, 2017 and is based on the Burning Man jewelry collection of Christine Kristen and a book put together by Karen Christians and photographed by George Post entitled ‘The Jewelry of Burning Man.’
The building of it was in an unfortunately compressed time-frame due to an unclear communication as to his ultimate height. Nonetheless, with the help of the amazingly accomplished, and accomplishing, Mark M, we made this thing and got it down to the event by opening day.
